Tema: Walt Disney Pictures romperá su acuerdo con Jerry Bruckheimer en 2014

Bruckheimer se irá donde mejores condiciones consiga... Aunque es verdad que el reciente acuerdo de Universal con Legendary Pictures le cierra las puertas a ese Estudio.

Pero vamos, que donde esté la mejor oferta, allí se irá.

Lo que no tengo tan claro es que quiere hacer más cine adulto o calificado R (al menos es lo que se desprende de la noticia en The Wrap: http://www.thewrap.com/disney-to-end...y-bruckheimer/), tipo Black Hawk derribado, La Roca, etc..., pero no tengo tan claro que el horno esté para esos bollos, y más un tipo como Bruckheimer, que parece no saber producir una cinta por menos de 150 millones.

Disney and Bruckheimer to End First-Look Film Deal in 2014
The Walt Disney Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer have decided not to renew their first-look deal when it expires next year. Disney will continue to focus on its branded properties including Disney, Pixar, Marvel and now Lucasfilm, while Bruckheimer is looking to produce more mature films outside the scope of the Disney brand. Disney and Bruckheimer will continue working together on various projects including the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Together Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer have produced such blockbuster hits as the Pirates of the Caribbean and National Treasure films under the Disney brand as well as adult action dramas like Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, Con Air, and The Rock through the Touchstone label.
“Jerry is one of the most respected and prolific producers working in the motion picture industry, and we have had an incredibly successful collaboration over the past two decades and he is a friend to many of us here at Disney,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. “We will continue to work together in the future, and we look forward to seeing more of the films that have made Jerry Bruckheimer a Hollywood legend.”
“I am very appreciative of the wonderful collaboration and support I have had at The Walt Disney Company for over twenty years and the twenty-seven movies we have made together. The good news is we will continue working together on Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure and other projects we have developed together at the studio,” said Jerry Bruckheimer. “I am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with these amazing people at The Walt Disney Studios, many of whom have become my good friends. Rompen exclusividad, pero seguira produciendo varias peliculas para Disney, vamos.

Era algo que sabiamos que pasaria tarde o temprano, a raiz de los ultimos años. Esto no tiene que ver con El Llanero Solitario (que tambien), si no que se arrastra de antes. Bruckheimer lleva varios talegazos importantes y lo unico que hacia que le diera dinero a la Disney eran las nuevas entregas de Piratas. Y con Disney, Bruckheimer es imposible que hiciera peliculas de su epoca en los 80 y 90. Con Touchstone hubiera podido seguir, pero como trabajan en asociacion con DreamWorks, era inviable.

Yo lo prefiero asi, me gusta la idea que siga trabajando en algunos titulos para Disney (los que vea que sean mas seguros) y se dedique a hacer las peliculas que prefiera en otros estudios con mas libertad y recupere el espiritu de antaño.

A Disney lastima no le hace, y le va de perlas, ha quedado demostrado en los ultimos años que con Pixar, Marvel y ahora Lucasfilms, puede seguir ofreciendo bombazos y que Bruckheimer era una apuesta arriesgada. Es el mismo motivo por el que han decidido retrasar Piratas 5, no es un prioridad fundamental para la compañia a dia de hoy y quieren hacer las cosas bien de nuevo y si es poco a poco, no les importa.
