"The script is great and the cast I'm very excited about; Jack Black and Adrien Brody. And, being on that side of the world will be fun too," she adds regarding the New Zealand set and its proximity to Australia, where she was raised.

In the meantime, after she finishes doing press for We Don't Live Here Anymore, Watts will return to the set of Hideo Nakata's The Ring 2, which is close to finishing production.

"All his films are about a mother and a little boy, that's how he grew up and he has a lot to say about that, so he understands the emotional side of it as well as being incredibly visual," she says of the director, who directed the original Japanese films Ringu and Ringu 2 that the American versions are based on. "I'm having a really good time with it."<hr></blockquote>

He even painted pictures with them.

"He's extraordinary, the amount of research he's done. He brought back incredible tapes of all that (gorilla) behaviour that we need to get very familiar with," she said.

Bad Taste le da 100 vuletas a la trilogía completa de los anillos fijo!! Eso sí, en "Agarrame esos fantasmas" hizo también un espectacular trabajo!!

Aver si ya dejamos de criticar las CGI, por el hecho de criticar. A una pelicula no la hace mala o buena los FX, sino otras muchas cosas. Que una peli tenga mucho ordenador, no quiere decir que sea mala, lo que hubiesen dado los creadores del King Kong original por cambiar su muñecote en el que se marcaban las huellas por un buen ordenador.

Lo que vengo a decir es que las CGI no son malas en si mismas, lo que puede ser malo el uso que se haga de ellas. En la historia del cine siempre ha habido FX, lo que ha cambiado son las herramientas, no el espiritu detras de ellas.

La ire a ver por Jack Black, pero ni Peter Jackson ni King Kong me dan esperanza alguna, nunca me gustó ninguna de las versiones que he visto de la peli y no va a empezar a hacerlo ahora

Pues ami me da en la oreja que la peli va a ser espectacular, a mi lo unico que no me convence es Adrien Brody para ese papel, no se, yo hubiese preferido a alguien como Rusell en la version de los 80?

En cuanto a la version original, hay que situarse en la epoca en que se hizo. Siempre me a parecido el mejor y fantastico film de serie B que se ha hecho jamas.

Lo que es interesante es que Jackson haya contemplado hasta el último momento la posibilidad de rodar la película en 3D con la misma técnica que 'Ghosts of the Abyss' o 'Spy Kids 3D'.

Yo creo que representar a Kong igual que hicieron con Gollum, es un error. En primer lugar Andi Serkis me parece un sobreactuador, no por su papelde Gollum, si no por el papel de hobbit que hace en LOTR.. y de La trichera. Todo sea que en Kong se modere un poco. Yo creo que el "bisho" ha de parecer más estoico, algo así como el gobernador de california en Terminator. Si se consigue el iquilibrío entre eso y el enamoramiento de Kong estará bien. Por otro lado creo haber entendido que el pavo de El pianista hace de "héroe", pues otro gran fallo. Un héroe de aventuras no puede tener esa pinta, coñe. La tía puede valer (si sabe gritar) y el Black ahora mismo no sé que papael hace, pero creo que me encaja en el de explotador avaricioso (inivitablemente aplastado por Kong, claro está). No sé, yo no lo veo muy allá...
Por cierto la versión de ¿John Guillermin? me gustó bastante. No tiene el feelin' de la antigua pero está entretenida.

Yo sin embargo creo que Jackson puede hacer una buena peli con Kong, eso si, será una versión personal y homenaje al mismo tiempo; creo que es un proyecto en el que puede sacar mucho más jugo que al de ESDLA.

bien, quitamos lo de B, auqeu si fuera la precuela para muchas B de monos gigantes en esa misma epoca.

Rectifico, Siempre me ha parecido un fantastico film de serie A, teniendo en cuenta su edad, ha envejecido bastante bien.

Totalmente de acuerdo. ESDLA tenía el 'inconveniente' literario (y no digo que lo resolviera mal. Al contrario, soy defensor de la trilogía del anillo), pero King Kong nació como cine, y el amigo Peter va a poder hacer más cosas, adaptar algunas y reinventar (lo que no era tan fácil en ESDLA) otras muchas.

Pues a mi Andi Serkis en ESDLA me parece espectacular, sobre todo cuando ves los documentales y te das cuenta que mucha de la personalidad de Golum se debe a el, la voz es fantastica, aunque el doblaje tampoco esta nada mal. En cuanto a su papel de hobbit me parece bastante decente, teniendo en cuenta que csi todo su papel se resume en la transformacion que el anillo produce en el, para mi no es sobre-actucion, es que el anillo es muy puteante.<img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=":D">

Lo que spero es que a Kong le den una apariencia natural y que no cante demasiado el ordenador, ya que a diferencia de Golum o el Trol de las cabernas por ejemplo, Kong tiene pelo, cosa bastante dificil de hacer teniendo en cuenta que tiene que ser un pelo realista con el entorno.

El amigo Xoanon de www.theonering.net se ha marcado un buen tanto contando con la ayuda de Peter Jackson para la realización de su web sobre la película de King Kong, no como pasó con El Señor de los Anillos en el que el hermetismo fue mayor y Xoanon (Michael Regina) tuvo que tirar de espías neocelandeses (Tehanu) para poder publicar información interna. Claro que PJ ha visto que el tirón que dio la web al fenómeno ESDLA ha sido tan grande que pretende aprovecharlo ahora para una película que sin duda tendrá menos seguidores.

Hoy han colocado el segundo vídeo de lo que es un videodiario. En él www.kongisking.net/archives/kongisking podemos ver a Jack Black y Naomi Watts a los que presenta Peter Jackson. Peter Jackson se ha recortado el pelo y diría que se ha operado de los ojos o bien lleva lentillas, porque no presenta esas horrorosas gafas que vimos durante todo el rodaje de El Señor de los Anillos. Jack Black hace algo de cachondeo y Naomi está preciosa con ese sombrero réplica del que portó Fay Wray en la película.

Director Peter Jackson is revealing more and more from his upcoming big screen version of King Kong, hitting theaters December 14, 2005. Jackson, along with the cast and crew, continue to participate in Production Diaries at the film's fansite KongisKing.net.

The latest one is a must-watch video as it features the first animatics from the film which Jackson shows to stars Naomi Watts and Adrien Brody. They then try to act in the same way the animated characters did in the "approach to Skull Island" scene. The crew behind the animatics also talks about creating the clips for Jackson and Universal.
