Os dejo aquí mi review de Agent Carter

Por otra parte, al buscar info de quienes eran los showrunners de las serie, Tara Butters Michele Fazekas y Chirs Dingess, los dos primeros nombres me sonaban...Y es que son el dúo de guionistas que entraron en la segunda temporada de Dollhouse, de Joss Whedon (temporada que no tengo claro quien llevaba el día a día por debajo de Whedon, si el mencionado dúo, Tim Minear, Mo Tancharoen y Jed Whedon o, probablemente, una mezcla de todos, Joss incluído, claro).

Buscando más info veo que,, efectivamente, el estilo whedonita que había detectado en Agent Carter es real. En este artículo lo dejan claro en términos de narrativa, con X-Files y Whedon como influencias (X-Files y Buffy suelen citarse como pioneras de la mezcla de arcos largos + episodios individuales):

Regarding whether the mix of episodic and season-long storytelling on Agent Carter influenced Kevin, which follows the titular character being enlisted by a warrior of God named Yvette (Kimberly Herbert Gregory), Fazekas said the influence goes back further to their work on The X-Files, the show during which the two met, and Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.

"We did do that on [Agent] Carter, I would even back it up to how X-Files did it," Fazekas said. "X-Files had their long mythology arcs and their individual episodes, and, at their best, each episode would touch on both. You'd have the monster of the week but then some of the mythology would be in it. I felt that was brilliant how they did that.

"It's how Joss did it, we worked for Joss on Dollhouse and we were humongous admirers of his stuff," she said.

Parece además que, tal y como tiene sentido si atendemos a que Whedon estaba en Marvel como algo más que director de las dos películas de Avengers, tuvo algo que ver con que varios de sus guionistas fueran elegidos para crear y llevar series en Marvel TV. Drew Goddard creó Daredevil; Steven S. DeKnight y Doug Petrie fueron showrunners en la misma; y el citado dúo en Agent Carter:
