Creo recordar q no habia nada hablado en estas pelis,era todo musica salvo algo muy corto al principio,con lo q con unos subtitulos latinos nos valdria y a ese precio en Uk por las 2...

Si bien recuerdo, solo había una introducción hablada de Walt Disney en Fantasia (no recuerdo ni siquiera haber visto entera Fantasia 2000), asi que se me hace hasta prescindible el audio en castellano ya que solo supondrá merma de calidad en cuanto a tipo de señal (no creo que le enchufen un DTS-HD MA al castellano, la verdad).

Pero yo entiendo que así será, ediciones de un disco, sólo que el pack será un combo que incluirá los dvds, con lo que los extras y la peli van todo en un blu ray. Eso según se interpreta en la información de digital bits:

4-Disc Blu-ray Special Edition (SRP $45.99)
2-Disc DVD Special Edition (SRP $39.99).
Each will include both films.

the DVD, which will include Fantasia (fully restored) on one disc,
and Fantasia 2000 on the other. .

Si tienes razón. Eso explicaría también el bajo precio de la edición Combo de ambas películas; al fin y al cabo, las pelis Pixar también tenían 2 BD + 1 DVD + Copia Digital y su precio por ahí andaba. Podría incluso venir como se ve en esa portada americana en una sola caja de BD ambas pelis.

Y los extras tambien traerán subs, en castellano o en latino? Desde luego el precio es estupendo.

Lo importante aqui son los subtitulos en los extras porque las pelis son practicamente mudas. Habrá que esperar a ver si los llevan en USA o UK, y bueno, en USA además a ver si son libres de zona.

Pues a mi si me suena que hay pelis en dvd, que los dialogos se han dejado tal cual, pero la musica le han metido la corrección desde un audio bueno. No recuerdo ningun titulo con claridad, pero algo me suena.

Aqui lo tendrian sencillito y seria lo suyo.

Mas cuando, si mal no recuerdo, en su momento se estrenaba con un sistema de audio que se instalaba en los cines y luego rodaba, tipo terremoto. El audio en españa, tuvo que ser multicanal... otra cosa es que se guardara.

Siendo muy facil posicionar los escasos dialogos, meternos un mono malo, seria una cutrez. En el caso de esta peli, otras es otra cosa.

Paso de Fantasía 2000, pero caen fijo Fantasía y La Bella y la Bestia.

¿Qué otros clásicos Disney están preparando para el año que viene? Se sabe alguno?

El Rey León, fijo que sale el año que viene. Pero falta saber la que saldrá en primavera.

¿La de primavera no era Alicia? Es de 1951 por lo que será un aniversario redondo. Además Disney debe aprovechar ahora mientras la película de Burton aún está caliente. Bambi es de 1942 así que no me estrañaría que saliera en el 2012. De todos modos ni todas las ediciones de Disney coinciden con aniversarios redondos.

Yo preferiría El Libro de la Selva, pero cualquier clásico es bienvenido.

Me apetecen mucho Alicia en el Pais de las Maravillas, Peter Pan o La Dama y el Vagabundo...

En Ultimatedisney.com, marcan como proximo BD el de Dumbo para febrero 2011, pero ya está editado

Edito porque acabo de comprobar que la proxima edición BD será Bambi en primavera 2011.

Pues dificilmente llenarán un segundo Blu-ray con estos extras, así que fijo que las ediciones serán combos BD+DVD.

A ver si se detallan un poco más esos extras, que a simple vista parecen menos que los de la edición en DVD USA del 2000.

Y a ver qué nos hará Disney con el doblaje, porque imagino que veremos el montaje "Roadshow" completo de la película, con las introducciones extendidas de Deems Taylor.

Sois mejores que la rana Gustavo informando... voy a ir preparando la VISA para esos packs alucinantes...

Pues no parecen muchos extras, comparados con los que llevaba el Fantasia Anthology en DVD. ¡Ay ay ay que nos la cuelan!

Among those Blu-ray special features is the highly requested Academy Award® nominated short Destino. Sigo pensando que, al menos en lo referente a extras, el pack "Fantasia Anthology" del 2000 era muy superior.

-Original DVD Bonus Features from Legacy Collection

¿Suponemos que vendrá todo el material del Legacy? Si no como dices pobrísimo, creo que el anterior pack también tenía un extra de una hora en la Fantasia original.

Eso se me había escapado. Sería lo suyo: meter los extras de las anteriores ediciones, y añadir los nuevos listados. Porque por si solos no parecen suficiente.

Veremos a ver en que queda

Vaya, esa línea que mencionas me ha había saltado, Self. Me da miedo porque pone eso en los extras de "Fantasia 2000", pero no pone nada en los de "Fantasia", a ver qué nos han hecho...

Es que el Legacy era el tercer disco del pack anterior, el que tenía el grueso de los extras. Luego en cada disco de las pelis había algún extra más, concretamente en Fantasia creo que había un reportaje de cerca de una hora, pero a lo mejor está incluido en algún PIP o algo.

Sí, tengo el pack y tanto "Fantasia" como "Fantasia 2000" llevan un documental de cerca de una hora. Esperemos que no se les "olvide" incluirlos también en esta nueva edición...

Respecto a los extras, leyendo la nota de prensa en ultimatedisney, creo que la parte que dice "Original DVD Bonus Features from Legacy Collection" en Fantasia 2000 es una explicación del extra "Disney’s Virtual Vault -- BD-Live Feature ", es decir, esos extras de fantasia 2000 que venían en la edición "legacy" no estarán en el disco, sino a través de BD-live (y sólo funciona para los de USA, ¿no?)...

Entonces, de la edición "legacy" sólo vamos a tener los dos audiocomentarios de cada película, lo que me lleva a otra duda: la versión de Fantasia que se editó en el DVD de USA era diferente a la nuestra, era más larga (roadshow, 125'), entre los cortos un señor decía una introducción, tenía intermedio y no había créditos al final (en la versión editada aquí (general release version, 112'), no había señor, sólo una voz en off, no había intermedio y al final había créditos). Entonces, o bien nos van a traer la versión "larga" o bien los audiocomentarios para Fantasia tienen que estar editados para saltarse esas introducciones y el intermedio (o una tercera opción, que en Fantasia no vengan audiocomentarios, todavía no se sabe nada oficial sobre la edición española, creo, sólo tenemos datos de ediciones extranjeras). Ojalá nos traigan la versión larga (y sin la censura en el corto Sinfonía pastoral), total, sólo habría que doblar las nuevas introducciones, pero, viendo los extras que ponen en play.com, creo que nos van a traer la versión corta y perdemos los dos comentarios del legacy de Fantasia (sólo nos queda el nuevo).

EDITO: Y veo que tampocon ponen (en play.com)el extra "The Shultheis Notebook: A Disney Treasure (running time: approx. 14 minutes)". Por otro lado, en la duración de la película ponen 2 horas y 4 minutos, es buena señal...

Pues como sea así, y nos roben extras en Europa, pa los dialogos que hay ya me valen subtitulos y me las pido a USA.

Sobre el tema de la censura en la versión del Blu-Ray de "Fantasia", según The Digital Bits:

A number of you have asked if Disney's Fantasia Blu-ray will include the censored or uncensored version of the film. As some of you may know, the original theatrical version of the film featured a 'black centaurette' character in The Pastoral Symphony sequence. For the previous DVD release, this character was removed via a digital zoom. Our sources tell us that this change is still part of the new Blu-ray, but that with improved digital tools the edit is more seamless. Like some of you, I have mixed feelings about this. I'd love to see some kind of branching viewing option that allows you to see the uncensored version, with some kind of BD-Java option or featurette that addresses the issue head-on. Even a BD-Live option to view the uncensored version or scenes online. In today's PC climate though, I can understand why Disney wouldn't include it. Essentially, the controversy itself would be all ANYONE in the media talked about. Same with Song of the South - in an ideal world, Disney would release it uncensored as a special edition that directly addressed the subject racism in classic Hollywood films head-on. An unvarnished look at the issue and how far we've come (or not) since then, WITH members of the black community involved - historians, etc. And they could donate all the profits to a charity devoted to ending racism. But in today's media climate, some groups would decide to use the release as an opportunity to generate controversy and stir up PR, and even those people who honestly believe the film should never be seen again would campaign on Larry King, and it would be a circus. My take is, you should never sanitize your own history, but rather deal with it head on. But that requires the ability to look at things in context, in more than the time that it takes to write or read a Twitter feed, and our society doesn't seem to have that ability anymore - at least at the moment. So yes, it's unfortunate, and but I guess I do understand Disney's decision. And while it's important to keep all this in mind, it's not going to prevent me from enjoying what should be an otherwise excellent release, much like the previous DVD set.

By the way, the uncensored version of Fantasia (not to mention Song of the South) IS available on bootleg DVD for the determined collector to find, and it's not that hard to track down a copy via the Internet. To be absolutely clear, I'm certainly not endorsing that any more than I endorse the censorship. I'm just saying.
