Gracias a las pistas me doy cuenta de que es Días del cielo de Morricone.
Esta tarde tras oír el tema he pensado en Tess de Sarde (que vi por fin hace poco) y tendría que haber exprimido esa sensación porque ambos films creo que se pueden hermanar visualmente hablando.

Exacto Tripley, efectivamente se emana una nostalgia evocadora de atardeceres en el horizonte de los campos de trigo. Por cierto, ya que estamos en pre-Oscars, el film de Malick le valió una estatuilla al español (aunque sólo de nacimiento prácticamente) Néstor Almendros, que también estuvo nominado dos años más tarde por El Lago azul, en 1981, año en que lo ganó la Fotografía de... Tess

No sé si sabrás que Purcell está considerado el mejor compositor británico de música barroca y probablemente el mejor compositor inglés en la historia de la música . Lástima que falleciese con tan sólo 36 años.
