musicdirect is proud to bring you the best new vibration control product we have tried in years! Under any component up to 65 pounds, the Ceraball will greatly improve the sound of any component they are placed under. Esteemed reviewer Roy Gregory, of the British magazine HiFi+, recently wrote that the Ceraball is among the finest vibration control products he has ever tried and is certainly the most affordable! At only $125/set of four, you will certainly agree!
The Ceraball isolation devices are made by German HiFi Rack manufacturer Finite Elemente (who also happen to build some of the world's most sophisticated component racks!). The Ceraball consists of an aluminum base and cap, separated by a ceramic ball bearing. Despite consisting of two entirely separate parts, they are handled as one making their use even easier. There is a rubber O-ring around the shaft of the base, damping any wobble between it and the top-cap which holds the Ceraball together (NO MORE lost ball-bearings!). The first thing you notice about the Ceraball is just how solid they feel. Despite being only an inch tall, they are surprisingly solid and the small diameter of the top-surface helps you achieve perfect contact with the base of your component. Larger feet often suffer interference from perforated grilles, screw heads or odd shaped bases, but the Ceraballs are simplicity itself to use. They are beautifully finished in silver alloy or black and sold in sets of four. Place three or four Ceraball feet under any source, from pre-amps to turntables to CD/SACD/DVD transports and you will be astonished at the improvements they produce. Increased clarity and dynamics, tighter, more controlled bass response, a smoother top-end and an increased sense of space around instruments will be immediately apparent. 100% Music Direct Guaranteed, so try a few sets in your system today and put the Ceraball to the test!
"The improvement in low-level resolution was dramatic, with increased focus, transparency and separation. You can hear much further into the soundstage with far less effort... Indeed, in some ways, the simpler the structure, the easier it is to hear the effect. Slurred vocals are also far easier to unravel, making it much easier to hear what’s being said, and just as importantly, with what emphasis. As I said at the beginning, the Ceraballs are a fascinating product, not least because they’re something that every body can afford." - Roy Gregory from HiFi Plus, January 2003.
