Wonder if M:I3 and SUPERMAN will eventually face off at the box-office? The news of MISSION's delays will meet welcome faces at Fox who were preparing a showdown on July 1, 2005, the day both films were scheduled for release.<hr></blockquote>

Paramount Pictures and Cruise/Wagner Productions made it official today that J.J. Abrams will direct Mission: Impossible 3, starring Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Carrie-Anne Moss, Kenneth Branagh, and Scarlett Johansson.

Abrams, the screenwriter of Armageddon, is also the creator of Alias and Felicity as well as a writer on the new television series Lost. Having directed all three of those series, Abrams makes his major motion picture directorial debut with the third installment of "Mission: Impossible."

Previously being prepped in Berlin, the film is now set to begin shooting in the summer of 2005.

Cruise will first team up with director Steven Spielberg on The War of the Worlds, which starts filming this November. The 2005 release is a Paramount and DreamWorks production.

Based on H.G. Wells' legendary science fiction classic, "The War of the Worlds" (published in 1898), the film is a modern day version of what many critics agree is the definitive model for alien invasion stories.<hr></blockquote>

¿Y el Abrams este quién coñó es? Si, ya sé que es el creador de Alias y no sé qué más. Y seguro que hace buenas series, no lo discuto, pero me da que la saga de MI va a menos. Se habló de Fincher, de Stone... luego el Carnehan (que tampoco es que me ilusionara), y ahora esto. Pues nada, se ve que Cruise no quiere que nadie toque sus pelis. ¡Que ponga el dinero sobre la mesa y contrate a Cameron, leñe!

El Abrams es un maldito genio, quienes hayan visto la serie de Alias lo sabrán.

Viniendo de él, se puede esperar una película de espionaje radical, con traiciones, secretos, sorpresas y demás. Yo lo veo muy acertado como director

Otra cosa es que se le haga demasiado grande un proyecto como este..., pero con su experiencia no creo. Alias es una serie, pero vaya serie!.

El problema es que no viene de él. Él es un mandao al que han cogido para que le haga un videoclip a Tom Cruise. A ser posible, que ingrese mucho dinero para que Cruise pueda pagarse otro Último Samurai y llevarse ya de una puñetera vez el Oscar.
Ah, y si puede haber mucha testosterona para dejar claro (por enésima vez) que no es gay, mejor.

Si no recuerdo mal la versión de John Woo <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/hail.gif ALT=":hail"> de MI 2 duraba unos 140 mins, el Tommy este de los coj*n*s le hizo recortarla a 90, ahí John Woo <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/hail.gif ALT=":hail"> dijo que quitaba su nombre de la peli y al final quedó en unos 120 mins muy a disgusto para John Woo <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/hail.gif ALT=":hail"> , la verdad, es que el calvario que pasó el hombre durante el rodaje con la superdiva de Tommy fue de aupa.

M:I de De Palma me pareció una gran pelicula de espionaje y acción, toda una lección de como deben hacerse estas peliculas.
En cuanto a M:I 2 de John Woo me pareció más que entretenida, directamente ridícula. Escenas de acción como la presecución de coches con primeros planos a camara lenta al estilo de "Oliver y Benji" o "Bola de Dragón", la escena de la moto o la famosa de las palomas me hicieron reir tanto y me provocaron la misma verguenza ajena que algunos "gloriosos momentos" de "El primer caballero"

MI2 hubiera estado mejor si el magnifico Cruise no se hubiera entrometido en el montaje de la peli, entonces supongo que en la nueva MI Tom no se podra estar de meter mano en su propia produccion, Asi que por mucho que diriga la peli un buen director y aparezcan buenos actores, todo se reducira a una demostracion de la superestrella .

Ha sido en las noticias de Antena 3, asi que tranquilo, que si algo le sobra a Antena 3 es invntia, por decirlo de alguna manera...

When the project was delayed last summer and a new director came on board it became unclear whether or not attached cast members would remain. The involvement of Carrie Anne Moss and Kenneth Branagh is still in question. Tom Cruise recently told Entertainment Weekly, "I want to work with Carrie and Scarlett... and Kenneth is someone I've been wanting to work with for years, but you have to start with the director and see where he's going to take us."

The film's new director is J.J. Abrams (Alias). He took the reigns after Joe Carnahan (NARC) dropped out of the project.

Mission: Impossible III is expected to start filming in September 2005.<hr></blockquote>

No juzguéis la película antes de verla, más que nada porque no tiene ningún ingrediente de la 2 salvo Cruise, y yo creo que ha demostrado que no es mal actor si está en manos correctas.

Yo de Abrams espero mucho, y es que solo con ver Alias ya deduces lo genio que es, y si encima ves Lost, ya sabes a ciencia cierta de lo que es capaz este hombre. Yo veré la película, disfrutaré en el cine y luego juzgaré. A priori el voto de confianza la película lo tiene, y aunque es probable que sea como ya se ha comentado, que JJ tenga las manos un poco atadas, yo creo que impondrá su criterio (y si encima vienen guionistas de Alias, ya...).

Yo no voy a decir nada, sobre si la nueva entrega huele mal o bien, pero me parece demasiado apresurado decir que un determinado profesional es un genio por haber dirigido algun que otro episodio de "Alias". Creo que algunos ponemos el liston muy bajo en lo que fabricar buen cine se refiere.

No ha dirgido algún que otro episodio de Alias, ha creado la serie, la ha escrito (juntamente con otros guionistas) y la ha llevado de una manera a mi modo de ver envidiable. Y no ha sido casualidad, pues lo está haciendo de nuevo con Lost.

AAdemás, no hay que ser muy ducho para deducir la buena influencia que puede tener en Misión Imposible después de haber dirigido los pilotos de ambas series con tan buen estilo. De todas maneras, ya lo he dicho, juzgaré cuando vea la película, pero para mí el trabajo que ya ha realizado apunta a un genio del género.
