Totalmente, Campanilla. En el cine que la vi, me sobresalté varias veces, por el sonido. Aún sin ser una película de acción (tipo Transformers) en la que ya sabes lo que te espera (sonido y efectos especiales por un tubo), o precisamente por eso, me maravilló y sorprendió los efectos sonoros en estapelícula de Malick.Cita:

Yo creo que, al igual que los planos subjetivos, o la fotografía especial, vienen a reforzar la visión del director de que este film está hecho para los sentidos. La vista, el oido,...
Casi todo en la película (sobre todo, visto desde la óptica del niño) son nuevas experiencias, nuevas sensaciones. Y el sonido contribuye (y magnifica) esta cuestión.
Pues sí, sin duda. El árbol de la vida es una experiencia sensorial como bien dice tomaszapa en el mensaje anterior. En mi caso no sólo con esta película, también quedé muy impresionado en el cine con el sonido con sus dos pelis anteriores, tanto "El Nuevo Mundo" como sobre todo "La delgada línea roja" tienen un sonido y banda sonora fantásticas, a la altura de las imágenes.Cita:

Volviendo al tema de "nominaciones" para esta película... veo difícil que no esté nominada a mejor película (sobre todo existiendo diez candidaturas finalistas) pero veo igualmente difícil que la academia la premie. A Malick si que le veo con alguna probabilidad de ganar si es nominado como mejor director.
Estoy con Barroso, en las muchas posibilidades de Malick como mejor director en los Oscars.
Algunas señales favorables en ese sentido:
-El año pasado ganó un novato, por El discurso del rey y este año, creo, toca alguien de peso.
- A mi me gustaría que se lo llevara Alexander Payne por the Descendants, pero me da que sólo lo van a nominar y tendrá que "conformarse" con el mejor guión (y tal vez, mejor actor-Clooney)
- El otro de peso es Scorsese, que seguro estará nominado, pero no lo veo nuevamente premiado, tras 5 años desde Infiltrados.
- Malick puede vivir ese momento reivindicativo, como le pasó a Polansky por El pianista en 2002.
Vaya, vaya. Alguna que otra sorpresa en los premios del SAG ...
Por fin alguién se acuerda de Glenn Close. Sonó fuerte hace unas semanas pero obviamente a la crítica no le gustó "Albert Nobbs".
La no inclusión de Fassbender me parece decepcionante. Creo sinceramente que esta temporada tiene interpretaciones excelentes. A falta de ver Shame y Jane Eyre (la tengo en la recámara, Campanilla :agradable), este año ha sido SU año sin lugar a dudas. Rebosa carisma por los cuatro costados y tiene un prometedor futuro.
Y el reparto de "Un Dios salvaje", ninguneado por completo. La película no es de las nominables, pero creo que los actores están fantasticos, todos, sin excepción.
A ver que tal hoy los Globos de Oro ...

Los críticos de San Diego van un poco a su bola :cuniao
Eso sí, apuestan por The Artist (y van...) como mejor película. Pero lo de los actores no deja de desconcertar un poco (por diferentes).
Y el guión adaptado de Moneyball con Sorkin a la cabeza, es el único que se perfila como competencia para Payne y su The descendants.
Michael Shannon ya tiene otro círculo a su favor como mejor actor principal.

En la categoría de película animada, han descalificado a Los pitufos (The Smurfs) porque no cumplía el requisito de que al menos, el 75 por ciento de los personajes de la película fueran animados.
De todas formas, habrá cinco nominadas. Aún quedan 17 películas compitiendo, entre ellas la de Tintin y Happy Feet 2.
Era un poco raro su inclusión en esa categoria, sí. No tenía ni idea de la norma del 75 por ciento ...
Tengo la "intuición" de que estos problemas van a ser cada día más comunes a la hora de seleccionar para categorias técnicas (y no tan técnicas, las actuaciones con motion capture son un tema peliagudo al que habrá que dar solución en los próximos años).
Por otra parte, se ha hecho la segunda preselección de los mejores cortometrajes de acción real, de cara a las nominaciones finales del 24 de enero. Los elegidos son:

La Academia publicó ayer la enorme lista de películas elegibles (265) en los Oscars de este año.
Todas cumplen dos requisitos: estreno en Los Angeles en cualquier cine antes del 31 de diciembre de 2011 y que duren más de 40 minutos.

De momento ha ganado más veces Rango, la mayoría vaya. Creo que Tintin ha ganado en NY, Toronto, St Louis y creo que en algún premio europeo. De todas formas, para los Oscar el voto será mundial, no? Ahí puede tener muchos votos Tintin.Cita:

Para las distintas candidaturas, cada apartado es votado por el gremio implicado dentro de la academia (actores a los actores, guionistas a guionistas, etc ...). En categorías como documentales, cortometrajes, o en este caso, pelicula animada; se forma un comité de selección entre los academicos relacionados, que en distintas fases elige las candidatas. Una vez hechas publicas las nominaciones, efectivamente todos los miembros de la AMPAS votan a todas las categorías. No se el porcentaje actual de académicos no residentes en USA, pero no creo que sea relevante para inclinar la balanza.
A ver como va Tintin en la taquilla USA. Creo que será básico para la decisión final...

Rango no es que sea un éxito enorme. Ha recaudado 123 millones en Norteamérica y casi lo mismo fuera para un total de 245 sobre un presupuesto de 135 millones. No sé ni si han sacado muchos beneficios. Tintin, aunque nadie espera cifras de Top 5, si se espera algo estilo Rango o un poco más.
Yo creo que también puede pesar (aparte de los 2 hombres que están detrás del proyecto) el hecho de si consideran (los votantes) animación como tal, o algo raro y entonces se decantan por Rango (que es una alternativa de calidad a Pixar y Dreamworks).

Con los premios de Austin mañana, se cierran los galardones de la crítica por este año. Las únicas asociaciones que quedan son Denver, Ohio y Kansas. Haciendo resumen, en la mayoría de círculos críticos ha arrasado "The artist", y luego "Los descendiente" y "Drive" como films destacados.
La primera semana de enero vendrá movidita con las nominaciones de los gremios de Productores, Guionistas y Directores Artísticos ...
