A mí me parecen muy justas esas preselecciones de Sirât. Yo creía que en score no iba a estar por si la música era considerada no original.
Por lo demás en banda sonora echo de menos a Giacchino (por Los 4 fantásticos, primeros pasos) y a Volker Bertelmann (por Maldita suerte) y diría que el premio va a estar en dar un tercer Oscar a Desplat o a Ludwig Göransson (con algo de ventaja para el francés que lleva sin ganar desde 2018 y Górranson ganó en 2024).

Sirat tiene a favor la distribuidora NEON, que hace a la perfección su trabajo, y de ahí que probablemente hayan vendido bien sus bondades técnicas por aquellos lares.
Pero NEON también lleva Sentimental value, The secret agent, It was just an accident...Grandes rivales.

Las entregas de premios de los días recientes ya nos habían dejado entrever que Sirat podía conseguir nominaciones en peli internacional, sonido, música y fotografía. Pero lo de estar preseleccionada al mejor casting es tremendamente sorprendente, y nos da una idea de lo hondo que ha calado la película. Jay Kelly, por ejemplo, se ha quedado fuera, y cuenta con Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Jim Broadbent...
Yo es que lo veo de otra forma, supongo que la labor de casting de Sirât la han podido considerar más "rompedora" al elegir a gente no profesional para encarnar unos papeles (que vale que son casi como ellos mismos) frente a una (excelente) labor de casting entre estrellas de Hollywood, donde tal vez labor más completa haya sido buscar a unque, me parece muy buena elección de casting.Spoiler:

Pero a quien le guste la jarana hollywoodiense, y haya visto una buena cantidad de las películas nominadas, es bastante divertido y entretenido. Yo los veo casi ininterrumpidamente desde hace la tira de años, con una magnífica Ana García Siñeriz a la que añoro (y eso que Cristina Teva lo hace francamente bien).

Yo sigo los Oscar desde 1987 más o menos. Fui con el colegio a un multicines en Málaga, ya desaparecido, y yo entré a ver Al filo de la noticia. Me encantó, y eso que tendría 12 o 13 años, y seguramente, algún detalle se me escapó entonces.Cita:

Lo que sí recuerdo es que me pillé un disgusto grande, pues en esa ceremonia de los premios no se llevó nada.
A partir de ahí, estuve años yendo a Málaga a ver las nominadas, aquellas que podía ver.
Con el tiempo, sobre todo, viendo la cantidad de películas, actores, directores...que merecían algún Oscar y no lo consiguieron, que he relativizado la importancia de estos premios.
Sin embargo, sigo con interés hoy en día los Oscar, sobre todo, cuando puede haber sorpresas en alguna categoría.

A Guillermo del Toro, en aquella charla que tuve la fortuna de vivir con él, hablando de cine y los premios, me comentó que también le gustaba mucho Brooks.
Brooks es mucho Brooks. Una pena que no tenga una filmografía algo más numerosa.

Yo disfruté Sinners en su momento pero los premios que está recibiendo no los termino de comprender. Lo de sus actores secundarios es de que te explote la cabeza y más cuando el que menos menciones recibe es el chaval que es, además, el corazón de la peli.
Pero bueno, todos los años se cuela una favorita del público sin realmente merecerlo.
Bueno, que Sinners haya sido galardonada en mejor Casting y reparto a mí no me parece mal ya que no me parece para nada un mal reparto y creo que todos están bien en sus papeles (que es verdad que lo dicho lo puedo aplicar igual a las demás nominadas ya vistas). Para mí este premio es una marca como la única opción (sobre todo si Sinners gana también el SAG a mejor reparto) a poder aguarle la fiesta a Paul Thomas Anderson en cuanto a mejor película (en director creo que este año Anderson es premiado y casi casi también en guión).

Más los primeros, porque es verdad que viendo los nominados al DGA, las cuatro labores de dirección que ya he vsisto me parecen merecedoras (o al menos no me desentonan) de dicha nominación.
Ya veremos si el voto en los Oscars, más internacional nomina a Trier y a costa de quién. (y Lo mismo respecto al reparto de Valor sentimental, que los votos de intérpretes europeos)
