Algunos son títulos previos, o títulos que no son los originales (producciones británicas con nuevo título en USA). Por ejemplo: Los satánicos ritos de Drácula o El baile de los vampiros.

Es cierto. Pero es que hay títulos que reciben traducciones absurdas (no sólo en España: a mí siempre me ha hecho mucha gracia el título francés de Los ritos satánicos de Drácula: Dracula vit toujours á Londres, o algo así: literalmente, Drácula vive para siempre en Londres). Por el contrario, hay algunos casos en que los títulos mejoran al ser traducidos: caso de la ya citada El baile de los vampiros, cuyo título original venía a ser algo así como Los intrépidos cazadores de vampiros, o Perdone, pero sus dientes están en mi cuello. Esto daría para otro hilo: traducciones absurdas de títulos de películas.

Ese título francés provenía de la tentativa del título original: Dracula is Dead and Well and Living in London. Por último optaron por el más preciso y serio The Satanic Rites of Dracula.
