[hr:b1ef920aa4]Warner Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Sam Peckinpah’s Legendary Westerns Collection for 10th January 2006. Featuring four of the Academy Award®-nominated director’s celebrated westerns the collection includes a newly-remastered Two-Disc Special Edition of The Wild Bunch with all-new special features, and three new-to-DVD films: Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid Two-Disc Special Edition – which offers both the 1988 Turner Preview version of the film and a newly-edited 2005 version based on the director’s notes and insights from his colleagues. It also features the acting debut of musical legend Bob Dylan, who also composed the film’s score. Also included in the Collection are The Ballad of Cable Hogue and Ride the High Country.

Featuring William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Kris Kristofferson, Bob Dylan and Jason Robards, Sam Peckinpah’s Legendary Westerns Collection will sell for $59.92 SRP. The Wild Bunch Two-Disc Special Edition and Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid Two Disc Special Edition will be available individually for $26.99 SRP while The Ballad of Cable Hogue and Ride The High Country will be available for $19.97 SRP each.

The Wild Bunch Two-Disc Special Edition
By any standard, director Sam Peckinpah’s film The Wild Bunch, a powerful tale of hangdog desperados bound by a code of honor, rates as one of the all-time greatest Westerns. In 1994 it was restored to a complete, pristine condition unseen since its July 1969 theatrical debut – and this digitally remastered anamorphic transfer showcases it to renewed blood-and-thunder effect. William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Edmond O’Brien and Ben Johnson star.

Notición y de los buenos, básicamente una pregunta, tiene Warner los derechos de las 4 para Z2 España? Es decir nos podemos esperar para tenerlo todo subtituladito o tiramos directamente de Z1?

Me imagino que aunque la anuncien como version 2005 sera la reconstruccion de principios de los 90, pero aun siendo asi te aseguro que esa es la "buena", y si encima vienen las dos para comparar mejor que mejor.

De 1994 a 2005 ha evolucionado mucho la tecnología. A ver que tal es esa restauración.

Según los datos de las ediciónes, La Balada de Cable Hogue lleva audio en español.

Warner es de lo mejor que hay. Lo único malo, si se edita en España, es que supriman los discos de extras y que no subtitulen todos los extras (audiocomentarios especialmente) :>: .

aquí no sé cómo lo harán pero en UK y Alemania se editan en febrero por separado los cuatro títulos además de Pat Garret, Grupo salvaje, la Balada de Cable Hogue y Duelo en la Alta Sierra igual que en zona 1, por lo menos en Alemania pone que tiene subtítulos en español y suelen ser las mismas ediciones las alemanas a las españolas

Entra en Play o Amazon de Alemania y verás que en zona 2 de estos dos sitios incluyen los extras que por cierto tienen pinta de ser impresionantes otra cosa es qué harán aquí espero que con el antecendente de USA, UK y Alemania en el que salen los extras aquí no nos quedemos sin ellos

Ya sé que la mayoría entiende que las cuatro películas que han salido en zona 1saldrán en España pero por si acaso me he puesto en contacto con Warner y me confirman que las van a editar aquí en el mes de abril

La imagen de Grupo Salvaje muy buena, muy buena, no es... O así lo he visto yo en DVDBEAVER.

En las infos de cinefacts indican audio y subtitulos en español salvo en Grupo Salvaje con solo subtitulos en nuestro idioma. Respecto a la edicion zona 1, lo que no indican es la inclusion de los 2 montajes de Pat Garret y Billy the Kid

Me estoy refiriendo al pack no a las sueltas que hace tiempo estan puestas para el día 11 de abril. En dvdgo solo estan sueltas y en Fnac en el enlace que pongo aparece en exclusiva el pack sin fecha salida ni importe y comentaba que al ser exclusiva saldrá de momento solo en Fnac y pregunto si alguien sabía este dato y si Fnac lo editará con la misma fecha que saldrá en los demá sitio por separada
