- 1920 x 1080 HD (50i, 60i and 24p)
- 1280 x 720 HD (50p, 60p and 24p)
- 720 x 576/480 SD (50i or 60i)"
I saw a demo at an SMPTE conference presented by Warner Brothers that showed 24 fps film shot in an episode of "Friends". They showed playback at 24, 48, 72 progressive frames and also 60i. The 24 fps had too much flicker, the 48 was much better but had motion judder and the 72 had no flicker but judder. The 60i had no flicker and less motion judder. The opinion of those there was that 60i, with 3:2 pulldown, handled motion better than any other playback.
