"I've never done that kind of spectacle, fantasy film, and what better person to do it with than Peter Jackson," she tells IGN FilmForce. "But it's a very simplistic story even though it is a fantasy – the unrequited love part of it – and very heartbreaking and quite dark at times."
"The script is great and the cast I'm very excited about; Jack Black and Adrien Brody. And, being on that side of the world will be fun too," she adds regarding the New Zealand set and its proximity to Australia, where she was raised.
In the meantime, after she finishes doing press for We Don't Live Here Anymore, Watts will return to the set of Hideo Nakata's The Ring 2, which is close to finishing production.
"All his films are about a mother and a little boy, that's how he grew up and he has a lot to say about that, so he understands the emotional side of it as well as being incredibly visual," she says of the director, who directed the original Japanese films Ringu and Ringu 2 that the American versions are based on. "I'm having a really good time with it."<hr></blockquote>
