Oscar 2023

El valor predictivo de los Globos de Oro es desde luego escaso. Aún así, este año, y eso parece que lo han conseguido, se trataba de salvar los muebles y de dar cierta dignidad a unos premios con riesgo alto de desaparecer, tras los escándalos.

En cualquier caso, tienen la misma importancia para los votantes que la crítica del país, o incluso más, porque las estrellas lucen mucho (aunque no hayan ido todas).
Como siempre, son los gremios, como decimos cada año, los que parten el bacalao.

Hay varios ganadores del globo que ni estuvieron nominados al oscar (Jim Carrey x2, Madonna, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ben Affleck a director o varias ganadoras a peli de comedia/musical por decir sólo los que se me vienen a la cabeza a bote pronto). Lo gordo en previsión empieza en unas horas con los sindicatos de directores y actores hoy y el de productores mañana

Para mí la mayor sorpresa es no ver a Michelle Williams nominada. Y ya veremos sí lo está al Oscar o ahí también entra Ana de Armas aupada por esta nominación. Yo creo que el Oscar va a estar entre la chica Bond y la mala de Indiana Jones.

Me gusta mucho ver a Bill Nighy nominado. Creo que va a estarlo también al Oscar. Al que no veo nominado al Oscar es a Adam Sandler (sobre todo cuando no lo estuvo por un papel más potente como el de Diamantes en bruto). Ya veremos si esa plaza la ocupa en los Oscar Tom Cruise.

Me gusta mucho ver a Paul Dano nominado. A ver si de una vez se le nomina al Oscar. Las nominaciones dobles en Almas en pena en Inisherin en categoría secundaria masculina y En todo a la vez en todas partes en secundaria femenina ya veremos si llegan al Oscar y habrá que ver si el posible reparto de votos beneficia a un tercero en discordia. en secundario creo que va a beneficiar a Ke Huy Quan y en secundaria ya veremos si termina ganando el Oscar Bassett.

La nominación en reparto a The fabelmans (y en la DGA) creo que apuntalan la película como favorita, contando también con los dos Globos de oro ganados.

Ya veremos si con esta nominación en los DGA consigue Martin McDonagh ser nominado al Oscar (no lo fue por Tres anuncios en las afueras) y espero que Kosinski también lo sea (porque Top Gun lo que se dice dirigida, esta perfectamente dirigida aunque bueno la temporada pasada la película más dirigida y coordinada (y premiada, Dune) no mereció nominación, según la Academia, para su director, Dennis Villeneuve). Y va veremos si también nominan de una vez en dirección a Todd Field.

Dicho esto, mucho director con primera nominación al Oscar frente a Spielberg, que yo creo que se va a llevar su tercera estatuilla como director a casa.

Sí, últimamente suele haber un director no nominado al DGA que sí lo está al Oscar. Este año diría que no hay una película en la categoría de película extranjera que pueda llevar a su director a recibir esa nominación, a no ser que Jerzy Skolimowski de la sorpresa.

Spielberg, creo que se consolida como favorito este año, aunque precisamente si hay alguna remota posibilidad viene de algún nombre como Martin McDonagh. Pero ahora mismo, veo a Spielberg, con el 70 por ciento del pastel.

Yo veo más posibilidades a Berger el director de Sin novedad en el frente que poco a poco ha ido ganando tracción. De todas formas creo que entrará Polley para evitar polémicas.

Yo también veo a Spielberg ganando su tercer Oscar. Parece que este año no va a haber en la carreara directores de su quinta o experiencia con nominaciones anteriores sin premiar que pudieran hacerle sombra y va a estar solamente él frente a un resto de nominados, casi casi todos, por primera vez.

Me había quedado yo con EO, por la cosecha de premios que ha ido recogiendo en película internacional y no había pensado en la opción alemana. Y sí, ya veremos si Polley termina siendo nominada, aunque creo que tiene muchas más posibilidades en guión adaptado.

Aunque en los últimos años ha cambiado la cosa, estoy de acuerdo en que la categoría de guión ha sido tradicionalmente la manera "cómoda" o "cobarde" de acordarse de alguna gran peli de no mucho presupuesto.
 
Creo que Spielberg va a ganar Director y Película.
La academia le debe un Óscar de Mejor Película desde el robazo de Salvar al Soldado Ryan,y que mejor que dárselo por una película autobiográfica.
