Sí, yo he leído comentarios indicando que la película de los Dardenne ,Dos días, una noche, no obtuvo nominación en película extranjera y eso no impidió que Cotillard fuera (muy justamente, en mi opinión) como mejor actriz.

Volver no alcanzó a estar nominada y Pe logró nominación.

Sí, por un lado se podrái decir que Cruz sí estuvo nominada al SAG por Volver, mientras que Huppert no lo está. Pero Cotillard tampoco lo estuvo por Dos días y una noche (y sí lo estuvo por De óxido y hueso, pero no consiguió nominación al OScar).

Ya veremos, yo estoy pensando que la no clasificación de Elle puede provocar cierto efecto favorecedor entre los votantes hacia Huppert.

Es que es lo que decía yo antes. La categoría de película extranjera ha cobrado algo de importancia últimamente, por el nivelazo, pero en EEUU, y entre la industria de HOllywood sigue siendo casi una anécdota o como mucho, algo muy menor.
De hecho, ahí están las taquillas de las pelis extranjeras nominadas o ganadoras del Oscar en esa categoría en los EEUU.
Es más el caché (lo que hablaba yo con el neoyorquino Roy) hacia fuera, en los demás países, con lo que significa el Oscar, que en los EEUU.

Por eso digo que Huppert se lo está currando y la gente que vota (los actores, en su mayoría) no le va a importar si su película ha sido seleccionada por un grupo de académicos, generalmente mayorcitos, o no.
 
Con tanto premio, se me había pasado por alto las nominaciones de la Crítica de Austin del 2016

La están ninguneando de mala manera, aquí parece que o protagonizas un dramón o nada de nada.

Aunque también depende de lo bien que caigas, algunas ganaron por una intervención de 15 minutos.

Sí, parece ya el cuarteto de favoritos, tal vez incluso un poco más claro en el caso de los sencundarios.

En un primer momento destacó Huppert en los premios, ahora es Portman. Como se ha mencionado, Stone está quedando eclipsada. Seguramente se lleve el Globo de oro en actriz de comedia y musical y vuelva a sonar un poco más, pero me parece a mí que Portman cada día esta más cerca de su segunda estatuilla.

la situación es la siguiente y es la que se comenta en el paréntesis:
se trata de una instalación artistica donde se ven en una especie de monitores gigantes unos vídeos de mujeres de mediana edad con bastante obesidad bailando casi casi desnudas (llevan gorritos o alas de ángel), alguna agitanto unas bengalas o si no recuerdo mal, una vra de majorette.
La secuencia es impactante en lo visual pero dentro del contexto artístico en el que se presenta yo tampoco veo que se dé una mala imagen de la mujer.
