Visto lo visto, creo que el quinteto final será Shoplifters, Capernaum, Roma, Cold war y Burning. Y ya sabemos que el premio es para Roma.
Mala suerte para Campeones pero le nivel este año creo que es muy elevado.
 
Yo veo antes entrando en el quinteto The guilty (Dinamarca), o la parece que controvertida elección alemana, que Capernaum (Líbano). Pero firmo por las otras cuatro.

Como digo, Campeones se queda fuera, pero siguen en la carrera el documental español "El silencio de otros" y el corto de ficción "Madre" de Rodrigo Sorogoyen.
 
En las 5 nominadas a película de habla no inglesa siempre suele haber una sorpresa y tiene toda la pinta de que esa sorpresa será The guilty.
Cold War, Shoplifters y Roma las veo prácticamente nominadas.

Luego está el tema de ver las distribuidoras USA que películas pelean hasta el final, de ese shortlist de 9 hay 2 películas distribuidas por Magnolia Pictures (Shoplifters y The guilty), 2 películas distribuidas por Sony Pictures Classics (Capernaum y Never look away).
Eso si, Amazon va a dar la vida con Cold War de la misma manera que Netflix va a dar la vida con Roma.
Birds of passage la lleva The Orchard, Burning la llev Well Go Usa Entertainment mientras que la película kazaja Ayka aún no tiene distribuida en USA.

Sony no se esperaba lo de Never look away, de hecho, después de la mala recepción en festivales y el fracaso en taquilla en su Alemania natal ni estaban haciendo campaña por ella, pero los Globos de Oro la han vuelto a colocar en la carrera y, evidentemente, han tenido que darle una fecha de estreno en USA fechada para primeros de febrero.
 
No entiendo lo de Ready Player One en efectos visuales. Me parece casi lo mismo que sería nominar a mejores efectos a cualquier peli de Pixar.
