A día de hoy, antes de ir conociendo las nominaciones del os gremios, diría que El poder del perro es la primera en la carrera y que puede ser nominada en casi todas las categorías grandes (película, dirección,actor, actor secundadio, actriz secundaria, guión adaptado).

Respecto a las nominaciones de los Globos de Oro, me alegra ver por ahí a Dune y Villeneuve, así como a Maggie Gyllenhaal (que no está en guión). Almodóvar e Iglesias (a falta de escuchar Encanto las otras cuatro nominadas en banda sonora me parece muy buenas elecciones) entran en las nominaciones (no así Cruz que tiene mucha competencia en drama, pero entra Bardem por drama).

Ya veremos si se da el caso. Aunque aún no se han estrenado (y no he podido ver) algunas películas que seguro que optarán también a mejor dirección, creo que el trabajo de Campion es excelente y que perfectamente podría ganar en dicha categoría.

Ya se está comentando en redes que, 28 años después, Campion podría "vengarse" de Spielberg y ganr ella es Oscar, cuando en 1993 él ganó por La lista de Schindler frente a ella por El piano... no sé, me parece que ese tipo de comentarios es unpoco buscarle tres pies al gato, cuando ese año también estuvieron nominados Ivory, Altman y Sheridan y, por ejemplo Scorsese ni lo estuvo (que anda que no estaba bien dirigida La edad de la inocencia)

Yo me he desinflado en esta carrera por el Oscar al ver cómo se disipan las opciones de España. Penelope se baja de la carrera a la mejor actriz, eso es un hecho. España no será nominada a película internacional, quizá Alberto Iglesias tuviera alguna opción pero su país de origen ¡ni lo apoya! Ver para creer.

Luego, me provoca mucho tedio que las mismas películas son nominadas, netflixadas soporiferas tal como el año pasado lo fue Ma rayne’s black bottom, este año tenemos varias para ver en la hora de la siesta.

También me esperaba más riesgo y que no se nominara siempre lo mismo: dramas, musicales y biopics. Esperaba más riesgo con películas que se han desinflado en la carrera como Don’t look up, Nightmare Alley… ¡Qué pena! Espero que almenos haya opciones para Leonardo Dicaprio, creo que se merece ser reconocido por un género muy castigado y poco reconocido en los Oscar.

Seguramente la academia nomine a Rita Moreno para hacer publicidad del leit motiv “la actriz más longeva nominada a un Oscar” y ostentar un nuevo récord. Si un remake musical es lo mejor que tenemos en el mundo para llevar a los Oscar, es que definitivamente el cine está en crisis.

¿Confirmamos, esta vez con pruebas objetivas, el nuevo fracaso de la academia de cine española?

Madres paralelas nominada a película internacional en los Spirit Awards y en los Globos de oro. Para rematarlo, música de Alberto Iglesias nominada también al globo de oro. Me alegro de este fracaso aunque a la academia de cine ni le importa. Su propósito con llevar de nominada a El Buen patrón de propuesta de nominada era arañar unos cuantos miles de euros en taquilla, aprovechándose del tiron que da esa publicidad. No se si lo han conseguido. A mi como cinéfila, me fastidia un año lo que podría haber sido y se ha ido todo al garete.

Penelope, allá por principios de noviembre, era tercera en el ranking de predicciones. Se ha caído hasta la octava posición con las subidas de Lady Gaga -que recuperaría puesto de nominada-, Alana Haim y Rachel Zegler que son las nuevas favoritas en la cola en posiciones 6 y 7.
 
Yo no diría fracaso, es simplemente que no les ha gustado. Considera que ni siquiera la banda sonora de Alberto Iglesias ha sido nominada al premio Goya (y ya es raro, cuando es el compositor más querido de todos los tiempos por el certamen). ¡Y van los Globos de Oro y nominan a la primera banda sonora española en todos sus tiempos!
 
La Crítica de Chicago ha encumbrado a The power of the dog, como la gran ganadora.
