Jriver mc does full 64 bit convolution, ie full digital room correction and/ or digital x/o at the individual driver level ( if you have m-ch DAC for the latter). This is the most advanced correction possible. It makes your question of an isolated frequency bump a cake-walk.
REW is the free and very good software you use to measure your frequency response. It also makes the convolution filters ( can be manually worked/adjusted) to correct the response for room or x/o issues. It works w both frequency domain and time domain (reflection/reverberation). These filters get loaded into jriver. Then anything you play it "fixed".
Jriver also has a new loopback feature allowing it to play mog, Netflix, games etc and do the same on those non jriver sources.
I don't have time to post links now but search jriver forum for convolution and loopback or here for loopback and DRC . I've discussed this on many threads, often dealing w m- ch DACs and m- ch room correction.
