Shout Factory has detailed its upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of Sam Raimi's Darkman (1990), starring Liam Neeson, Frances McDormand, Colin Friels, Larry Drake, and Nelson Mashita. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on February 20.

In addition to the standard edition 4K Blu-ray, the label will have available for purchase a 4K Blu-ray Limited Edition SteelBook.

Comparativa con el Blu-ray:

El cambio es espectacular. Aunque tiene mucho contraste como si viniera de una copia en 35mm. Y el blanco es demasiado blanco. No sé veo mucho realce.

Aunque es cierto que las películas de la de principio de los 90s para mí tienen un aspecto anticuado y desfasado. Han envejecido mal. En cambio las de Universal de los 70s aunque sean más antiguas resultan más "atemporales".
