No es casualidad este movimiento con The Keep e Imprint.
El punto fuerte de Vinegar es su receta mágica adicional, llámalo pimienta o picante, pero añade algo a sus escaneos en 4K y sus restauraciones que no tienen las demás.
El punto fuerte de Imprint puede ser si incluyen escenas eliminadas o la banda sonora de Tangerine Dream en vinilo o algo. Si se esmeran muchos picarán por 2.

Sí. Tanto la edición sencilla como la limitada estaban agotadas. Han repuesto solo de la standard. La limitada parece que era la que estaba limitada a 12000 copias. De la standard no leí acerca de limitaciones en ningún momento.
Ahora dicen tener más de 1000 copias disponibles. De nuevo no hablan de limitación, por lo que no veo por qué no iban a haber copias de sobras para todos los interesados.
Bueno, pues vista y luce sencillamente espectacular, como era de esperar. La he disfrutado un montón, después de haberla visto (años ha) en alguna mugrienta versión en vídeo.

Vista por encima, la mejora con respecto a ediciones anteriores es sencillamente espectacular.
Lo editado anteriormente era, básicamente, mediocre: hablamos de VHS, DVD y laserdisc bastante añejos, y de emisiones de TV. Teniendo en cuenta la fotografía tan especial del film, con un uso intensivo de difusión y niebla, efectos visuales de integración óptica, y una gran cantidad de planos rodados con luz en clave baja, la presentación no puede ser más fidedigna. Donde antes solo se veía oscuridad y niebla emborronada, ahora se ven detalles que no había visto nunca. No voy a decir que es como verla de nuevo, pero casi
El audio viene en el original 2.0 estéreo, y solo con subtítulos en inglés SDH, así que preparaos para continuos “tense music continues” a lo largo de toda la peli
En definitiva: a no ser que al amigo Mann saque del armario algún día un workprint de trabajo con el que poder trabajar, esta va a ser la mejor presentación que veremos de la peli en mucho, muchísimo tiempo…
En otro orden de cosas, y como nota final, hace unos días los creadores del documental “A World War II Fairy Tale: The Making of Michael Mann's The Keep”, lanzaron por fin un pequeño teaser:
Desgraciadamente llevan ya años en proceso de elaboración, y siguen sin tener una fecha de estreno o distribución para esto. Ojalá no haya que esperar mucho más para poder verlo…
