Me resulta algo extraño si en los créditos aparece el logo de Dolby Atmos-Vision.
Pero si en la versión digital la tienen a 4K SDR.. no veo por qué en disco físico iba a ser distinto, no sé, a menos de cambio de ultima hora.

Si acaba siendo así, me pillaré una edición guapi en bluray... Lo que ahorre en el formato, lo gastaré en packaging.
Si el proyecto sigue siendo completamente outsider, es posible que tengan problemas técnicos (poco probable) por estar fuera del sistema de estudios, y el soporte que ofrecen, o que tengan problemas de licencias y costes para estas tecnologías (más probable).
Es posible que el coste de licencias para un proyecto individual sea mucho más caro que para un proyecto de estudio, que seguramente tendrán licenciadas tarifas planas o algo similar.

También cabe la posibilidad de que a Coppola no le interese el HDR, y lo que hemos visto hasta ahora haya sido una obligación contractual, impuesta por parte de las distribuidoras correspondientes. Ahora que va a su bola, puede estar en contra, o incluso le puede dar exactamente igual.
No digo que haya sucedido así. Pero la posibilidad, existe.
Pero Apocalypse Now es de Coppola desde hace muchos años (legalmente, digo), y el UHD lleva su HDR y su Atmos.
En fin, misterios misteriosos.

El steelbook italiano pinta bonico, si.
A ver si se anuncia de una vez quien la edita en USA. Probablemente sea Lionsgate (en su serie Limited), pero como los rumores sean ciertos y Criterion de la sorpresa, adquiriré esa edición.
Y aquí en España, a ver si alguna editora hace algún movimiento pronto.

Viendo la copia digital de Apple (lo único disponible ahora mismo junto con la de Amazon), se aprecia una fina y consistente capa de grano durante todo el metraje que le da una agradable textura a la fotografía.
Deseando tenerla en formato físico para poder disfrutar de esto plenamente.
Entiendo que, puesto que Megalópolis se rodó en el equivalente digital a los 65mm, este grano habrá sido añadido en post producción.
Esto es algo muy común hoy en día. Mi pregunta es... si ese es el objetivo que se persigue (la textura del grano), ¿no hubiera sido mejor rodar directamente en celuloide?

La odisea de esta película está siendo tremenda.
A día de hoy, tras su paso testimonial por salas de cine, no existe forma legal de ver el film salvo que lo comprases digitalmente en el breve periodo de tiempo que estuvo disponible, ya que las copias a la venta en Amazon y Apple han desaparecido de todos los paises donde estaban a la venta.
Por otro lado Lionsgate anunció una edición física en BD y UHD para finales de Enero, aunque ese lanzamiento se acabo cancelando y de momento no se sabe nada sobre quien (ni cuando), la editará finalmente en USA, si es que llega a editarse.
Por su parte, los lanzamientos Europeos de Francia, Alemania e Italia en BD y UHD, también previstos para finales de Enero, se anuncian ahora para finales de Febrero. Al menos ahora conocemos detalles como el contenido extra, o que la edición en UHD efectivamente dispondrá de HDR y WCG. Y en lo que respecta a nuestro pais, seguimos sin saber nada de nada (y eso que el film se dobló con un reparto de primeras voces).
Mi pregunta es... ¿ha retirado Zoetrope temporalmente el film de la circulación para retocar los efectos visuales, como se rumorea -a estas alturas me creo cualquier cosa-, para que Coppola grabe el audiocomentario, o por problemas legales?
En fin...

Bien, ya se va moviendo la cosa. Steelbook británico anunciado para el tres de Marzo.
Como la edición italiana unica y exclusivamente traerá subtitulos en italiano, esta edición británica puede ser una buena opción de compra para los que necesiten o se apañen unicamente con subtítulos en inglés.

Pero tampoco están confirmados, ¿no? Al menos yo me he dado una vuelta por las tiendas que han abierto las reservas y no los veo.
¿El que? ¿Los subtítulos en inglés?. Pues llevas razón.
A juzgar por sus fichas en Amazon la francesa llevará subtítulos únicamente en Francés y la italiana únicamente en Italiano, por lo que es de esperar que la británica los lleve en inglés.
Pero si, evidentemente confirmación no habrá a este respecto hasta que no tengamos el disco en la mano o leamos análisis.

Rumor has it that Coppola is very very angry with Lionsgate after the AI induced trailer fiasco so supposedly conversations are taking place right now, for physical media distribution rights, with boutique labels like the Criterion Collection or SHOUT! Factory.
As for Europe, deals are been made on a case by case (that is, per country) basis.
We´ll see.
