Es que no es sólo lo que dicen los críticos, sino también los foreros de hometheaterforum y dvdtalk...

Stilted dialogue, odd accents (come ON, Angie...what are you thinkin'?), no story...and the score? I like Vangelis, but this is pretty awful. Maybe I should listen to the CD without the film...but, now my mind will recall the film, so that's out.

This is one of the big ones. An award hopeful epic by a great director that is just gonna bomb like crazy.

Besides the awkwardness of the characters, makeup, etc., Stone also seemed to have his hands tied up by the epic genre. I had heard and felt neutral to the score before seeing the movie. In the context of the movie, however, it's all wrong. Not just because it doesn't evoke the period, action or genre, but also because it serves neither to provide enforcement or counterpoint to the emotions of the picture.

Los telediarios ya se han hecho eco de la polémica con la bisexualidad de Alejandro Magno.

Lo de los abogados griegos es cómico, cuando se sabe que Alejandro Magno practicaba sexo con sus eunucos, a pesar de que él estaba casado y disfrutaba de las mujeres.

Yo hoy escuché la BSO de Vangelis y bueno, no está mal, tiene partes que participan del mismo estilo que "1492", y por otro lado hay momentos que recuerdan mucho al Hans Zimmer de "Gladiator" (tanto en las partes presumiblemente batallísticas como en el toque étnico de los instrumentos). También hay trozos que (por lo menos a mi) me resultan más originales, en especial un corte con ritmo electrónico y una especie de bansuri (flauta hindú de bambú) haciendo una melodía repetitiva. En fin, a ver cómo queda todo esto en la película. La pena es que no se vaya a estrenar hasta Enero <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/sad3.gif ALT=":((("> , jo, yo que me contaba con verla en Navidades... Un saludete.

Es foto del Leto y la Scarlett es terrible. Yo creo que es una prueba en caso de divorcio.

Yo estoy encontrando también buenas críticas de Alexander. He repasado muchas de las criticas de los rottentomatoes y veo que muchas de las peores resaltan aspectos como la explicitud de la bisexualidad de Alexander y la intencionalidad politica del Stone buscando paralelismos con la invasión de Irak. O sea, a los medios conservadores no les gusta. Vaya novedad.

Algunas imagenes del "Becoming Alexander" de Discovery Channel donde se ve lo duro que ha sido para el Colin Farrell ser Alexander.

Primero por favor que le quiten esos pelos a Farrel, son una verdadera mierda de peinado que transforma a Alejandro Magno en un personaje de Asterix y Obelix.

Y lo segundo, por favor, que Stone se base la historia de este personaje, no en sus ideas politicas actuales, ya que creo que es un personaje suficientemente importante para no tener que hacer paralelismos con ninguna situacion actual, pues convertiria la pelicula en un panfleto, me es igual a favor de que. Yo quiero ver la vida y milagros de Alejandro, no una critica politica.

Y repito, ese peinado me parece catastrofico.

Prácticamente todas las películas históricas son una extrapolación del estado actual del mundo. Por ello lo que decía Christopher Hampton, guionista de Las amistades peligrosas: Resulta imposible que una película histórica sea 100% fiel a su época, puesto que la mentalidad de los personajes es completamente actual.

Encima hablamos de Stone, ¿cómo no va a hacer una crítica?

Ya si eso se comprende, pero es que si va a hacer una correspondencia entre el Irak de hoy y mesopotamia y los macedonios, supongo a EEUU, no tienen absolutamente nada que ver, nada. Ademas una cosa es modernizar los personajes para adaptarlos a la mentalidad actual y otra muy distinta falsear la historia pretendiendos ser una pelicula de un personaje tan importante en ella. No se, esperaremos a verla, pero de momento tengo muchas pero que muchas dudas.

Ademas lo que se oye, que luego resultara verdad o no, lleva atener la impresion de que Stone no tiene claro que clase de pelicula quiere hacer, espero que no se confirme.

Claro, pero eso podría aplicarse a, qué se yo, Carlos III. De Alejandro Magno los datos son confusos y cualquier teoría respecto a ciertos temas es tan válida como cualquier otra.

De todas coincido en que sea una falsa alarma la indecisión de Oliver Stone...
