Warner Home Video have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of Beowulf on 17th March 2008 followed by the HD DVD release on 7th April 2008. Retail is £26.99 each. The ensuing epic battle throughout the ages, immortalizing the name Beowulf. Arriving day-and-date on Blu-ray Disc and a few weeks later on HD DVD, both offer the Director’s Cut version of the movie which features more gore, blood and violence and presents the film the way it was intended.
