Quote:
This weekend you'll get to see a pretty cool teaser trailer attached to THE INCREDIBLES. No, not STAR WARS, REVENGE OF THE SITH (thought that does sound like it's gonna be pretty cool) but Pixar's next film CARS. The film will mark the return of director John Lasseter (TOY STORY) and likely mark the end of the highly successful Disney/Pixar collaboration. USA Today has a first look at Lighting McQueen, Owen Wilson's character in the movie, with the pic you see above. Joining Wilson in providing voice work for the film are Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt and Pixar lucky charm John Ratzenberger. CARS isn't set for release until this time next year. According to USA Today, the film follows Wilson's character "who gets lost on his way to the track. He lands in Radiator Springs, a downtrodden town off fabled Route 66 that has been bypassed by the interstate. There, he learns about what really matters from the cars of the 1950s and '60s." It's not a premise that immediately grabs you like THE INCREDIBLES does, but then again think about FINDING NEMO, which can't really be summed up very well in just two sentences. Considering Pixar outdoes themselves with every movie, CARS could wind up being the best Pixar movie ever next Thanksgiving...
