The Woman King es un dislate que se pasa la historia real por el forro (que si, El Reino de los Cielos tambien, pero dentro de la irregularidad del film de Scott, hay mas cine) y las palabras de Viola Davis ya eran rancias de por si cuando las dijo y se la pego en taquilla.
El film es fallido como tal (la directora es la misma que dirigo The Old Guard) y le falta mucha buena planificacion y edicion, quitando el poderio fisico de las actrices, no hay nada mas alla que sea rescatable, quizas el score de Blanchard, pero tampoco entiendo el entusiasmo que hubo cuando salio.
Ha ido muy bien en VOD y fisico, además.. lo dice el artículo.
Pero calmese, señor, que solo es una película.

Repito que no pienso que la película sea la segunda venida de Cristo, nada más que una peli bélica de fantasía y poco más; pero es que me parece que exageras un poco, que parece que la peli te ha tocado de alguna manera, o algo, y no es pa tanto, es una película y punto; no algo político (aunque haya gente, de cualquier lado que intente que lo sea) :cuniao
A mi me entretuvo y me gustó, sin pensar que es la rehostia, porque tampoco es pa tanto, pero como tú la pones ni por asomo. La fotografía no me pareció de telefilme. A ver si es que ahora todas las pelis no son pelis si no tienen los colores ultra apagados y con filtros a lo Marvel o yo que sé. Está rodada mas a lo natural. Y el aire a documental lo noto, pero tampoco es pa tanto. Las actuaciones es de lo mejor de la película, sobre todo Viola. La música también mola.

El DGA award es para los Daniels (Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert) por “Everything Everywhere All At Once”.
Se convierten en claros favoritos, si es que ya no lo eran, para la estatuilla.
Desgraciadamente, Spielberg creo que ha agotado sus opciones reales que pasaban por este importante galardón del Gremio. Para mí, era el momento de premiarle y reconocerle junto a los 3 grandes directores con más Oscars de la Historia. Una pena.
Pues una lástima. Sin haber visto Tár, cualquier otra opción me parecía mejor.
La verdad es que me ha sorprendido en cierta manera. Aún tiene una leve esperanza pero son bastantes menos probabilidades.
Ya podríamos decir que Los daniels son favoritos, aunque puede pasar como con Affleck y Sam Mendes, que ganaron los DGA pero los Oscars no.
Para mi, sólo por la secuencia de la moviola, para mí Spielberg se merece un tercer Oscar.
Parece que este año va a ganar una labor de dirección masiva, la de los Daniels frente a otros trabajos más sutiles (Spielberg, Field). Otros años se ha pasado directamente de nominar siquiera ese tipo de dirección (Luhzmann por Moulin rouge, por ejemplo.)
